MBTI
The Myers-Briggs Type Indicator® (MBTI) is a widely used personality inventory based on the theories of Carl Jung. The indicator is non-judgmental and allows people to gain an understanding of their preferences, particularly with respect to energy source, information gathering, decision making, and lifestyle/work patterns. Widely used in organizations, the MBTI offers a straightforward, easy-to-apply model for human behavior.
In the business world, the MBTI provides information on an employee's preferences in working as an individual contributor, a team member, or a team leader and can be used to strengthen relationships. Rather than seeing a difference as a weakness, Type provides a better understanding of that difference.
The MBTI is an integral part of the training and consulting services offered by The Learning Key. We use it in organizational development initiatives, training programs, and individual and organizational reports. Our training programs introduce individuals and teams to the concepts and theory of psychological Type. Goals for these courses are to learn about the MBTI, the concept of preferences, the impact preferences have in our work and personal lives, and to:
- Discover how Type preferences influence behavior and communication
- Identify and verify personal Type preferences
- Recognize and adapt to differing personal preferences and communication styles
- Apply knowledge of Type in all communication
The Learning Key provides only highly experienced, MBTI-credentialed facilitators.
