ASKING POWERFUL QUESTIONS
When working in a team, don't forget: Powerful questions motivate new thinking by challenging our thinking and helping the group be more effective in moving forward.
To do this, ask yourself:
- When in a group discussion, do I ask rhetorical questions which motivate other people to think about the question just asked?
- Do I ask questions that are risky and may force the team to deal with issues some members would prefer to avoid?
- Do I understand that the way I phrase a question can affect the response I receive?
