SUPERVISORY METHODS: LEADING IN A WORKPLACE
When becoming a new supervisor at work, don't forget: To succeed as a leader, you need to learn what it means to be a servant of all.
To do this, ask yourself:
- Do I have the right mind set and attitude of heart to become an effective leader?
- Am I identifying, appreciating, and utilizing, my workers unique abilities in the workplace?
- Am I encouraging opportunities for growth and development and supporting my employees through the process?
- Do I recognize that my role is changing and that I may have to let my employees do the work I formerly did – and not feel threatened?
