LEADING PROJECT TEAMS: LEADING TO SUCCESS
In order to lead your team to success, don't forget: A project manager must play the role of conflict manager and override individual / functional self-interest in order to accomplish the team’s project goals.
To do this, ask yourself:
- Am I keeping project goals at the forefront while facilitating the team to plan the project's objectives and implement the course of action?
- Do I have an accurate estimate of the time needed to achieve the goals of the project?
- Can we recognize and evaluate problems in time to analyze proper alternatives and find solutions?
- Do we have a clear plan for dealing with changes as they arise?
