THE MYERS-BRIGGS TYPE INDICATOR® (MBTI)

COMMON QUESTIONS

MBTI® | Courses | Reports | FAQs

What is the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator® (MBTI)?
The Myers-Briggs Type Indicator® is a widely used personality inventory based on the theories of Carl Jung. The indicator is nonjudgmental and allows people to gain an understanding of their preferences, particularly with respect to energy source, information gathering, decision making, and lifestyle/work patterns. Widely used in organizations, the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator® offers a straightforward, easy-to-apply model for human behavior.

Why use the MBTI?
The Myers-Briggs Type Indicator® enables people to understand and use their unique differences in order to strengthen their interactions with others. Rather than seeing a difference as a weakness, Type provides a better understanding of that difference. In the business world, the MBTI provides information on an employee's preferences in working as an individual contributor, a team member, or a team leader and can be used to strengthen relationships.

How does The Learning Key® use the MBTI?
The Myers-Briggs Type Indicator® is an integral part of the training and consulting services offered by The Learning Key, Inc. We use it in organizational development initiatives, offer training programs, and provide individual and organizational reports.
